The papers of Charles Wright consist of his literary papers; personal, professional, business and literary correspondence; photographs; published materials; literary criticism; recordings; and memorabilia. Of special interest are thirteen notebooks of his literary manuscripts and eight notebooks of typescripts of his literary works together with page proofs and setting copies for his books. The collection also contains manuscripts sent to Wright by over 80 other authors including Ai, Pamela Alexander, Tom Andrews, Don Bogen, Robert Rice Bradley, Julia Budenz, Franco Buffoni, Michael Chitwood, Nicholas Christopher, Leonard J. Cirino, Killarney Clary, Brian Clements, Steven Conkle, Alfred Corn, Tony Crunk, and Philip Deaver. Also Robert Fagles, Aaron Fischer, Jonathan Galassi (translations of Eugenio Montale), Dana Gioia, Elton Glaser, Michele Glazer, Loren Graham, Frank Graziano, Donald Hall, Hamilton Colin, Michael Hannon, Brenda Hillman, Garrett Hongo, Laura Jensen, Donald Justice, Kennedy Hunter, Ketty Shawn Keys, Damon Krukowski, JoEllen Kwiatek, Carolyn Lei-lanilau, Jon Loomis, J.D.
